How I Choose to Write About Others

I am participating in Wego Health’s National Health Blog Post Month. Today’s topic is how I choose to write about others in my blog (friends, family, etc.).

That is simple, I don’t have a specific way! Although my blog is primarily about diabetes, I do write about some other things that happen and seem share worthy. I have mentioned friends, relatives and even neighbors before. If something happens and I feel like that is something I would like to share, then I share.

A couple months ago, I wrote about my nephew Brandon when he was at my house. He make a comment to his mother about Smarties being for his insulin (he isn’t diabetic!). I thought that was cute and decided to share it.

The elvesLast year when I started to decorate for Christmas and getting stuff out, seeing my elves reminded me of the little game my sister and play. We have had this little elf competition going on for years so I decided to write about that. It had nothing to do with diabetes but I just decided to share.

This spring, a neighbor made a comment that everyone cheats the system – that bothered me and I decided to write about it.

Like I said, there aren’t any set rules about what I decide to write. Depends on what mood I am in I guess! Most people that write get their ideas from the world around them. Things that happen in my life give me ideas of what to write about.
